Consultant, International Chamber of Commerce
Anna Kompanek is a consultant with the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) based in Washington, DC. ICC, which is headquartered in Paris, represents 45 million companies in more than 170 countries, making it easier for businesses of all sizes to operate internationally. Through extensive consultations with its policy commissions – including the Global Business Integrity Commission – ICC also examines major issues of interest to the business world, prepares policy products and recommendations to contribute to intergovernmental discussions, as well as rules and codes to facilitate international business transactions.
Anna previously served as the Director of Global Programs at the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE), an affiliate of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce working with chambers and business associations around the world. She led programs focused on anti-corruption and ethics, good governance, legal and regulatory reform, and strengthening entrepreneurship ecosystems. Anna has authored numerous publications focused on business integrity and is the lead author of CIPE's Anti-Corruption Compliance: A Guide for Mid-Sized Companies in Emerging Markets meant to help local companies think about anti-corruption compliance as a strategic investment and take concrete steps to introduce or strengthen their internal compliance programs. She is also a member of the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics and a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional–International (CCEP–I).
Anna holds a BA from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, master’s degree in German and European Studies and International Business Diplomacy from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service, and an MBA from George Mason University.
